The Montr emergency button is in continuous development. The next integration is that of the Narrowband IoT technology
Montr has developed a unique platform: native apps (Windows, Android, iOS), a secure and scalable back office application and Dutch hardware (emergency button). This approach has provided us with a unique position in the Dutch security market. We control the complete security chain and provide quality assurance, flexibility, and continuous product development.
The emergency button is receiving multiple updates each year. One of these new updates is Narrowband IoT integration. In Norway, this update is already in beta available. Next to that, we work in close cooperation with Vodafone NL to launch a new version of the emergency button in the coming months.
This new version of the emergency button will provide -next to the already available functionalities- a connection with the Vodafone Narrowband IoT network. This new network technology provides unprecedented possibilities. The coverage is unbeatable, emergencies can be activated from the most challenging places like basements and outdoor surroundings. Next to that, the NB IoT provides extreme low energy use which results in a user friendly emergency button which can be integrated into and adapted to multiple use cases.
