The Montr Emergency button will be integrated into the Norwegian ‘Smarthelp’ alarm system. This safety and security messaging system was originally developed and launched in Trondheim but is scaling up to a nationwide implementation.
The aim of Smarthelp system to speed up alarm messaging from civilians to the national emergency response centers. With the digitizing of this messaging, it provides multiple additional advantages. It is more secure, more reliable and much more (personal) data can be shared in a fast and secure way. The Montr integrated into this platform. The use of the Narrowband IoT technology will also be adapted during this integration.
Smarthelp is a Norwegian technology startup that closed this summer a series A investment round. To speed up the integration of the Montr Emergency Button technology the TETRAMAX consortium decided this summer to grand a so-called technology transfer experiment.
TETRAMAX (“Technology Transfer via Multinational Application Experiments”) is a Horizon 2020 innovation action. It provides an implementation of the European Smart Anything Everywhere (SAE) initiative in the domain of customized and low-energy computing for Cyber-Physical Systems and the Internet of Things. As a Digital Innovation Hub, TETRAMAX aims to bring added value to European industry, helping to gain competitive advantage through faster digitization
This consortium consists of more than 20 high ranking European universities and is supported by multiple multinationals like General Electric Digital, Nokia, HARMAN and Siemens Gamesa.
